Frequently Asked Questions

About CBD

What is CBD exactly?

CBD is one of about 140 cannabinoids found in industrial hemp strains of the Cannabis Sativa plant. Other examples are CBN, CBG, CBC, and even THC.

Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that interact with your biological processes to produce a desired effect.

The combination of cannabinoids in a carefully bred strain of industrial hemp — including the one we use in our full-spectrum, whole-flower Equilibria products — work together in a chemical reaction called “the entourage effect.”

Our bodies actually produce their own cannabinoids — human breast milk even contains them.

Is this stuff even legal?

Yes!

The Federal Farm Bill (the Agricultural Act of 2014) legalized the production and sale of hemp bred with 0.3% percent or less THC.

The industrial hemp plants we use in our products meets this requirement, and our full-spectrum, whole-flower hemp CBD products are completely federally legal.

HOWEVER: Marijuana-derived CBD products (those with over 0.3% THC) are illegal except in states where medical and/or recreational cannabis are legal.

Is CBD going to make me high?

No!

Not even if you drink a whole bottle of our oil! Our industrial hemp is bred to contain less than 0.3% THC. It won’t get you high or make you feel stoned, and it’s federally 100% legal.

Most women simply feel relaxed, not sleepy, with our products. We recommend starting off by trying your ingested products (Daily Softgels or Daily Drops) in the evening, just in case you find yourself ready to head to bed earlier than usual.

The effect is somehow subtle and substantial, like that warm feeling after a few sips of your favorite wine.

Will CBD oil get me flagged on a drug test?

That’s a tough one.

Every woman’s body chemistry is different, so we don’t know for sure how your body will metabolize our products.

Think of it like consuming alcohol. If a beer is 5% ABV/Alcohol By Volume (like how our products contain 0.3% THC or less), the amount you consume determines your BAC/Blood Alcohol Level (or in this case, THC level in bloodstream). So the more you ingest, the more likely it will be detected on a test.

While it is uncommon for members to test positive given the very low THC content in our products, it is impossible to rule out the possibility.

Worried? Grab an over-the-counter THC test at your local pharmacy to find out for sure.

What’s the difference between full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and CBD isolate?

Full-spectrum CBD oil contains more than just CBD. It includes many other cannabinoids and terpenes (including trace amounts of THC – tetrahydrocannabinol) that combine to create an “entourage effect” of compounded benefits, activating the CBD for best efficacy in the body.

Broad-spectrum CBD oil is similar to full-spectrum except it does NOT contain any THC whatsoever. It is not recommended unless someone absolutely cannot have THC in their bloodstream.

Isolate is just what it sounds like: pure CBD, stripped of all the other chemical compounds. The removal of these other compounds means no entourage effect and noticeably reduced efficacy.

Can pregnant/nursing women use CBD?

Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot say one way or another. This is because pregnant and nursing mothers are some of the last groups to be studied in any clinical trial, and therefore the data just doesn’t exist yet on the effects CBD has on women and their children.

If you are pregnant or nursing and would like to try adding CBD to your self-care routine, we encourage you to talk to your doctor.

Products

Where do I start with Equilibria CBD and dosage?

Daily Softgels: Start with one softgel at bedtime. Or, if using in tandem with our Daily Drops, start with drops in the evening and take a softgel in the morning. For either routine, repeat for 5 days, then make an appointment for a dosage consultation.

Daily Drops: Start with one full dropper (10mg) every evening. Hold under tongue for 60 seconds, then swallow. Wait 15 minutes. If you don’t feel any effect, take another full 10mg dropper. Repeat routine for 5 days, then schedule an appointment for a dosage consultation.

Relief Cream: This transdermal cream can sink below the skin into tissue and beyond. In addition to muscle/nerve relief, this product is commonly used by EQ members on the abdominal area for uterine/ovarian discomfort. Use as needed!

Can men use your products?

Yes!

While we have formulations in development for female-specific products (lubricant, vaginal suppositories, etc.), our current product assortment is completely safe and effective for all genders.

Are your products vegan?

Our softgels are not vegan, but our oil drops and relief cream surely are!

Is CBD the only ingredient in Equilibria products?

CBD is one of many chemical compounds found in industrial hemp plants. These compounds, called cannabinoids, work together to amplify each other’s medical benefits for the most desirable outcomes.

Any other physical ingredients used in our products are simple, clean, and there for a reason — in our Daily Drops, for instance, the only other ingredient is pharmaceutical-grade MCT oil.

Where do you get the hemp for Equilibria’s products?

Quality and consistency are everything! The hemp in our CBD products is sourced from our 1,100-acre Colorado partner farm.

The farm hand harvests all its hemp flowers to create our full-spectrum hemp flower oil — no seeds, leaves, or stalks, and DEFINITELY no isolate.

Shipping

What are my shipping options and how much does shipping cost?

Packages typically leave our warehouse within 48 hours. If you live in an area prone to theft, USPS misbehavior, or in a particularly hot climate, we recommend selecting UPS so that you can divert your package to a pickup facility if necessary.

Equilibria does not replace missing packages if the carrier has marked them as “delivered.”

What are the last days to order for my package to be delivered by December 25, 2019?

FREE USPS First Class Mail = Wednesday, December 18th by 12pm CST

UPS Ground = Friday, December 13th by 12pm CST

UPS 3-Day Select = Thursday, December 19th by 12pm CST

UPS 2nd Day Air = Friday, December 20th by 12pm CST

UPS Next Day Air (all options) = December 23rd by 12pm CST

My tracking says my package was delivered, but I didn't actually receive it. What do I do?

It turns out, sometimes USPS marks packages as “delivered” up to 24 hours before they drop them in your mailbox. Seriously.

We know it’s annoying, but wait another day or two to see if it shows up. More often than not, it does!

Do you ship internationally?

No. Unfortunately, due to laws, we cannot ship CBD outside of the United States.
